Synto ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
1. Anonymous Usage Analytics (TelemetryDeck)
We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how the app is used and to improve onboarding, paywall clarity, and reliability. This analytics is provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH and is not linked to your identity.
What is collected:Event names and parameters (e.g., app open, trial started, paywall shown, subscribe button tapped, subscription completed), timestamps, and technical metadata such as app version, iOS version, device model, and language/region. No names, emails, advertising IDs, exact locations, or Health data are collected.
How it’s used:To analyze feature usage and conversion (for example, which screens are confusing or which plans are chosen), fix bugs, and guide product decisions. It is not used for advertising or tracking you across apps.
Data handling:TelemetryDeck processes signals on our behalf over HTTPS. Signals are stored in an aggregated, privacy-preserving manner and are not linked to a person or device owner. IP addresses may be processed transiently to deliver the service and mitigate abuse; they are not kept to build profiles.
2. AI Plan Generation
To create personalized workout plans, Synto sends the following information to OpenAI's API via a secure HTTPS connection:
- Age
- Gender
- Height
- Weight
- Fitness goal (e.g., lose weight, maintain rhythm)
- Preferred activities
- Avoided activities
- Selected workout days
- Additional notes (if provided)
Data Handling:
- Information is transmitted securely and processed temporarily in memory.
- Inputs are never stored or retained on our servers after processing.
- OpenAI processes this data solely as our service provider. Your inputs are not covered by OpenAI’s general Privacy Policy; instead, they are handled under our agreement with OpenAI as a third-party processor.
Data Handling Clarification:
We use OpenAI strictly as our service provider. OpenAI processes your inputs solely to generate your personalized workout plans. OpenAI does not use your data to train or improve their models, and retains your inputs only briefly as necessary to provide the API service and ensure compliance with their usage policies.
3. Health Data (Apple HealthKit)
If you grant permission, Synto accesses the following HealthKit data:
- Step count
- Workout duration
- Other HealthKit workout metrics
We use this data solely to:
- Display your progress towards fitness goals.
- Automatically mark goals as completed based on your activities.
Data Handling:
- All HealthKit data remains exclusively on your device or iCloud.
- We never store this data externally, share it with third parties, or use it for marketing or profiling.
4. Subscriptions
Synto offers features through Apple’s In-App Purchase system:
- Payment processing is fully handled by Apple.
- We never access or retain your payment information.
- Subscription management (renewal, cancellation) occurs through your App Store account settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following services:
- TelemetryDeck (Analytics): Anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. No personal information, advertising identifiers, or Health data are collected. Not used for cross-app tracking.
- OpenAI: For AI-generated workout plans. Only the specified inputs are transmitted temporarily.
- Apple HealthKit: For optional integration of health and fitness data.
- Apple In-App Purchases: For subscription management.
6. Your Rights
Since we do not store personal inputs or HealthKit data on our servers, there is no personal data retained by us that you can request, modify, or delete. To remove locally stored data, please delete and reinstall the app.
